At The Concrete Rose Foundation, we believe in the power of partnership. These collaborators walk alongside us to empower students, expand access to education, and sow seeds of possibility across communities.
Partners in Purpose

New Partnership: Concrete Rose × University of Cape Town

The Concrete Rose Scholarship Foundation is proud to announce its international partnership with the University of Cape Town (UCT) to support South African students through the Pipeline to Higher Ed initiative.

This partnership marks a powerful milestone as Concrete Rose expands globally, starting with a donation to UCT’s Financial Aid Office that will fund student scholarships and essentials in both June and December 2025.

Through this effort, the Foundation aims to support students facing financial hardship—particularly those who show resilience, leadership, and a drive to uplift their communities through education.

“Education saved my life. And I believe in planting seeds wherever there’s potential for growth. South Africa holds a deep place in my heart, and I’m honored to walk alongside UCT to support students who are rising against the odds.”
— Andrea Walton, MBA, Founder & CEO
"This collaboration is part of the Foundation’s global expansion strategy to remove access barriers for young people of color pursuing higher education across Africa, the U.S., and beyond."

New Partnership: Concrete Rose × Howard University

The Concrete Rose Scholarship Foundation is proud to announce a new partnership with Howard University to support its STEM Scholars Program through a gift made to the university’s Impact Fund.

This $1,000 Fall 2025 contribution is part of the Foundation’s growing Pipeline to Higher Ed initiative, which works to remove financial and systemic barriers for underrepresented students pursuing higher education.

While the Foundation’s U.S. scholarships are traditionally awarded through external partners like Bold.org, this marks the first time Concrete Rose has directed funding exclusively to students enrolled at a specific U.S. university.
Founder Andrea Walton, MBA shared:
“We’re honored to plant this seed at Howard—a historic institution whose students embody everything Concrete Rose stands for: resilience, excellence, and purpose. Our long-term goal is to build toward a $25,000 namesake scholarship by 2027”
